(no subject)
why am i so tired???? it is only 10:30 and i am definitely feeling a little lame. planning on crawling into bed soon and watching little women (thanks to robyn for that one).
this has definitely been an awesome weekend however. basically having access to a car leads to awesomeness in general. last night steph drove us all to the movies and her friend katie was there too so that was fun. we saw the wedding date which wasn't great, but just the whole idea of going to the movies in general was awesome. that and the fact that they have student prices at virginia movie theaters (why don't they in ct???) anyways...it was one of those romantic comedies where you obviously know going into it that they are going to end up together, but i just didn't really buy them falling in love. like you know it has to happen but don't see where it did happen. anyways, it was still entertaining for the most part.
after that me and steph and robyn went to ihop- my second time ever- and of course it was satisfying. pancakes always are. we got back to the room after that and crashed on the futon in front of mulan two. which was way disappointing. not like i really expected it to be even close to the first one in its awesomeness, but i feel like it didn't have to be that horrible. basically, disney should just stop making sequels in general. other exciting news: my grandmother sent me sees chocolates!!! chocolates in a heart shaped box would preferrably be coming from a boy but i'm not gonna complain because those things are tasty.
today i kind of slept in and had breakfast and all and then went into cw. it was so gorgeous out!!! i was going to take the bus but it was just too pretty and i had my cd player and was listening to belle and sebastian for the first time in a while and it was just overall such a happy walk. i had to get some books of poetry for my english class because i was dumb and got the wrong anthology and am now too cheap to get the right one, so i went to the used book store. i just love that place. not only is it one of those super disorganized, musty, amazing used book stores, its also mermaid themed!!! as in having oodles of tacky mermaid decorations everywhere. had some success there, finding 3 of the four books i needed, all for under $5 so that was good. i also had to go to the library to start finding books for my research project for my fairy tale class. it was a little intimidating looking for books in the library for the first time all year but i managed. a few awkward moments of looking at the same shelves as another girl in my class, you know not wanting to take her books but at the same time wanting them for yourself.
anyways, after lots of book acquisitions made it back to the room in time for an excellent target run with emmy and robyn. very happy. hit up payless and got some super cute shoes as well as some random things in target. had dinner at burger king- yes for french fries- and got dessert at starbucks. whoa has it been too long. how i love starbucks. even if there are weird people staring at you as you leave and get into your car. still not sure what that was about. good times though.
looks like a minor change of plans with the whole movie in bed thing. heading out to the grind/lodge one with laura and her friend tiff so that should be fun. still dreading the work that really does need to start tomorrow but for now we'll be ignoring that.
