It's the tech demo for Unreal Engine 3 - the same game engine that powered XCom, Arkham City/Asylum and Spec Ops: The Line amongst other games.
It - more or less current-gen gaming tech - runs perfectly smoothly on a PHONE.
Obviously, there have been some optimisations, but nothing particularly obtrusive, or indeed visible.
