So, our first couple of paleo recipes happened...

Paleo Muffins

It turns out that you can make muffins, paleo-style. You just need to use no sugars (apart from Raw Honey, Maybe, Depending Who You Ask), and rather than grain flour, coconut flour.

Oh, and 12 eggs for 19 muffins.

They're a very odd experience. The raspberry works very well, but there's a LOT of coconut flavour in there. Once you get past that, though, they're an oddly meaty and rather awesome little snack.

Exotic Paleo Chili

This one's still a work in progress. We Googled "Paleo Chili", and were rewarded with a MASSSIVE list of chili recipes, as one of the more famous Paleo people had run a contest for Paleo chili some time back.

We've ended up making the contest winner, the exotic Paleo chili, which includes such things as coffee, chocolate, shrimp, and a banana. It's simmering now - I shall update when it's done.

Update: Well, it turned out looking quite nice:

I'd describe the taste as "pre-optimisation". It had waaaay too much lime after I had a last-minute inspiration of the "actually wrong" kind, and it was originally intended to be cooked with beef cubes rather than pork mince, which gave it a very gruel-like texture. However, the coriander/shrimp/chili/bacon combo worked a treat, the banana worked surprisingly well, and I think with some improvements this one could be a hit.
