Welcome to my LiveJounal ... I have no idea what exactly I'll be doing with it, but I imagine I'll be using it mostly for Lord of the Rings stuff--observations, pics, fanfic rec's, maybe some of my own writings, and no doubt some non-LOTR things as well--interesting quotes, photos I've taken, who knows. I'll try to control any ranting, but if something gets my ire up, I may have to vent. But I'll try to keep that to a minimum. There's enough venom-spewing abroad on the Internet. I don't really feel the need to add any more to it.
In the meantime, to hopefully make your reading this worth your while, I'll make a few quick recommendations. First, a word of semi-warning: I'm an Aragorn fan, so most of my fanfiction rec's will be heavily weighted toward Aragorn-centric tales. These rec's are all WIPs, but updated regularly, to varying degrees. I normally avoid WIPs like I would skunks and poison ivy, but there are certain ones that are so good that I'm willing to take the risk.

The Redhorn Pass menaces even the most wary traveler who dares its treacherous, winding road. When Aragorn vanishes in it, old ghosts wake in Haldir and Elrohir who must forget past personal grievances and face their darkest nightmares to save him.
With Hope and Without Hope - by Docmon
Summary:
One decision made differently--the Three Hunters run through that second night of their chase after the Orcs rather than rest--and everything changes. Well, not everything. They're merely captured like Merry and Pippin. One decision changed doesn't change one's destiny, however. Reaching the fate destiny has in store for them is a bit peskier, though... There's action, adventure, suspense, a bit of angst, and hopefully an enjoyable story for all.
Keep Him Secret, Keep Him Safe - by shirebound
Summary:
Aragorn falls ill at Cormallen, which Éomer feels must be kept a secret. But there is more to this illness than meets the eye, as Frodo discovers. My usual h/cccc, very hobbity, mostly book verse. Characters include Elladan and Elrohir.

Summary:
Bedeviled by complications in love and war, Denethor finds himself seeking counsel from the most unlikely person - his chief rival.
