Netflix plans to "wean" its customers from DVDs and move everyone to internet streaming for movie watching. I do not plan to make this move, myself. I don't have that kind of bandwidth, and I want the DVD for more reasons than just that. What if we want to watch it twice? Or at someone else's house? What if my child wants to watch it in her father's car, where she has a movie player? Many people are abandoning Netflix now, for Blockbuster. Who knows, this could even keep BB afloat.
What's your take? I don't have fancy schmancy polls here on good old LJ, so this is as good as it gets:
1. Who needs movies? I just read books in my rocking chair.
2. Wow, I almost forgot about DVDs! Been streaming movies for years. Oh the good old days!
3. I will humble myself to the will of Netflix and start shopping for broadband.
4. Who do they think they are? I'm going to Blockbuster!
5. It's OK, you can borrow my DVDs.
