For the crafters

So I'm trying to doing morning beach walks at least five times a week right now, usually around sunrise.

At this time the beach is littered with coquina shells that the seagulls have feasted upon. For those of you who don't know what these are, they are tiny clam like shells slightly smaller than your pinky nail and all different colors: reds, blues, pinks, purples, yellows.

They are so pretty and there are so many that just get trampled to bits during the day that I can't help but think that there is a craft out there that could use these. I was considering doing sort of a twine and shell necklace, but I wasn't sure if that would be the best call.

So, any ideas?
