Ordination

Well, hm.

It was a really great service. Having an entire church service devoted purely to me was a little unnerving (especially with two giant, fantastically done choir pieces), but I wasn't as uncomfortable as I thought I would be. I could feel my face heating up something fierce when they applauded at the end though. That was really weird. I've never had people clap for me before - not just for me.

The laying on of hands was powerful. And more mystic than I was prepared for, but good. I was worried I was going to pass out when I stood up though.

For those who are interested, here's mom's sermon. People at the church were still talking about it. I gotta say, the female pastor's at the service blew the men away in terms of skill. One of the women was just installed up the road and is going to be my 'mentor.' As she puts it "It means when we go out to lunch and gab, I pay."

Now that I'm official and stuff, I'm going to be preaching once a month or so as well as leading youth weekly and doing hospital visitions and planning mission trips. I'm looking forward to preaching again, oddly enough. Its been longer than I'd like since I got a chance to.

faith, wbts
