I had this emailed to me this morning and I figured the best way to get some responses was to just post it.
"I have a friend who is starting a brand new call as a chaplain at The College of New Jersey. She's never done anything like this before and it is a brand new position. There are Christian groups on campus that tend to be much more evangelical in flavor. She wants this group to be a place where students with spiritual questions can feel welcome no matter what the question -- or answer. Christian but in that progressive, open to interfaith dialog, postmodern in the "I don't have all the answers" kind of way.
SO -- the issue is what to call this soon to be formed group that she is to lead. How to "brand" it? The name they've come up with so far is:
"Wayfarers."
with a subtitle that would explain the intent somehow. She would love to know how that name resonate with college age kids and/or your "older but still closer to that world" group of friends in lj-land or the blogosphere? What does it make you think of? Or would one of your bunch have another idea for a name?"
Well?
Thanks for the help!
