I severely underestimated what the week of low sleep would do to me. I suppose I am too old to run on 4-5 hours of sleep (not uninterrupted sleep). Currently I am at work from midnight to 8am. At 8 am I head to the ag center/fair grounds to feed the animals there. That usually takes about 30 minutes, so I am headed home by 8:30 am. Get home, change clothes and head to the barn to feed animals. IF I do not have to run water, that takes approximately 30 minutes. After which I clean up, make the dog food, and manage to be in bed by 9:30 (maybe). If I have to run water, that adds 30 minutes. I have to be up no later than 4pm and out the door within 10 minutes. Arrive at the ac center/ fair grounds, clean up poop, water animals, get ready for the crowd. Deal with the public until 9:30 or 10 pm (11 PM Friday night/12 midnight saturday night) . Head home and relax for about 45 minutes before its time to go to work. Every single day this week. If Matthew is able to join me at the fair, he will bring me a burger. I have managed to have a 8in personal sized pizza at work 2 nights. No other meals. I have been waking up 3-4 times while sleeping (enough to realize I am awake therefore my sleep is disrupted). I hurt. And since I am out in the open air most of the evening, my allergies are raging. We had a helper one day. The 2nd day she was sick. And none of my friends have stepped up to help out. Luckily a young man with FFA (Future Farmers of America) has been trying to help us with people trying to ride the llama (I wish I was kidding), calling the llama a camel (I cannot even respond), trying to pet the piggies on the nose (really???!!?!?!), and generally helping to control the sheeple. A few of the FFA or 4H students have also come through during the day to make sure the animals have water, so that helps. But dang I am wiped out. 2 more days of this.
