Later today, Nasa will be launching an unmanned probe to our moon. Its the first step in us returning man to the moon, permanantly. Here is the story if your interested:

I've always believed that not only should man return to the moon, and beyond, but that it was imperative that we do so. Human evolution is dependant on our curiousity. Our drive to expand our knowledge, the push to explore and experiment.
The last 40 years the human race has stagnated and soured. Where is our sense of wonder? Where is our desire to know the unknowable? Kids don't grow up wanting to be astronauts anymore. Thats just fucked up.
