Juat a side note, if cuts are made to any government office, it's due to governmet corruption. State property tax income, which this bill effects, revenues tripled and quadrupled in most counties due to the housing boom. That being said police and fire departments, have not tripled or quadrupled in most counties. If said departments are cut, it's because our wonderful government officials don't want to cut other things....one being the raises most of them have given themselves, and thier cabinets.
Don't get me wrong I'm not defending the Bill, but just pointing out that this whole cut to fire and police, is just beuracratic BS, that their spinning to goad the gulible.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I despise Charlie Crist and most of the government in Florida. They honestly are throwing the baby out with the bathwater on this one in order to save their lobbied interests group, rich people and the housing industry since they are the hardest hit by property tax. The politicians want the tax cut, not the other way around, that's the bureaucratic BS. My father's department within the city is funded by nothing but property tax and it will be dissolved if this amendment passes. They've already begun restructuring the city to prepare for it ( ... )
