Man this has been the week that wouldn't quit. I had the Model Arab Leage conference all weekend- and still the summit session tommorrow morning. The upside is that I have learned how to walk on the dirt paths at Mills in 4 inch heels. So basicly, the delegation from the UAE is the sexiest ever, which in itself is a ridiculous statement because there is no way that a delegation of women would ever get a diplomatic seat in the UAE, much less be allowed to be their hella sexy selves doing it. Last night was Fetish Ball at Mills. Again, i didn't go because i see enough titties in my own house, and why pay for getting groped by drunk lesbians when I can get felt up in my own kitchen? But anyways, all the other delegates were interested in discussing the Ball which evenutally led to a discussion of the legalization of prostitution, the california political system and abuses by the police. Not really related to agriculture or the kyoto protocol or the Arab world, but what are ya gonna do? Eventually we had time to pass a splendid resolution promoting pan-arabism and all that good Arab League stuff.
I've been overwhelmed with preparations for the next 9-12 months of my life which will be exciting to say the least. So here's the deal:
This summer I am driving back to Texas via Los Angeles, Phoenix, and El Paso with three of my roomies and all of our shit. Then I will be showing said roomies the good sides of Texas. Also, this summer I hope to have an internship with some guy who works for the City of San Antonio,help with a high ropes course summer camp session and work at Whole Earth. Then in September I go to Kunming, via Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Beijing. Evenutally I will be living in Kunming and studying mandarin at University there. I will have 2 homestays and plenty of travel on my own time. The semester ends mid- december at which point I return to the states- Texas to be exact. Then i will probably work at the WEPCo and sleep alot. Then starting in Mid-january I will move to Washington D.C. to go to school at American University for a semester. I will also have an internship with an NGO based in D.C. (haven't decided which one yet) That program ends mid May, at which point I hope to make my glorius return to the Bay Area and take some summer classes in Chinese and prepare for my senior year at Mills. After I graduate I plan to a) teach english in Japan b) join the peace corps and ask to be stationed in southeast asia- perhaps Thailand.
This is alot to think about. What the fuck. It's saturday night and I am stil wearing my Model Arab league suit and heels. Fuck this. I need a beer.
