Barcelona
What a great time we had in Barcelona....
Friday afternoon our journey started. We were already so excited and started to take the first pictures in the office.
Tweetz brought us to the station where i picked up some money, and then we said good bye to Basel, jumped on the bus and drove to the airport. At the airport Crystal realized that she actually forgot her showerstuff, contactlense things and painkillers. The painkillers we wanted to bring just in case, if you know what i mean;D
Oh well, she bought a few things like toothbrush at the airport.
Soon it was our time to bord the plane. We napped most of the time on bord and arrived finally, already a bit sleepy in Barcelona. Crystal made a dinner reservation the day before at Opium, one of the big clubs/lounge/restaurants in town. The latest we could book a table was 10pm.. we took a bus to town, to placa de catalunya and walked down the Rambles to our hotel. On the way we picked up some painkillers;)
When we tried to enter the little hostel we got a bit worried because no one opened the door for us, even we kept ringing the door forever. At some point luckily another guest came down and opened the door for us. The guy at the reception left his place for a few minutes so it took us some time until we could check in.
Our room was kind cute but small. The toilet was in the hallway, and the shower was in the middle of our room, so we had to give a show everytime we wanted to jump in:)
We got ready and left the hostel. By now it was already after 10 and we were not even sure where Opium was located.. so we started to walk towards the beach.. when the clock hit 10.30 we decided to skip the club. By now the reservation was for sure gone anyways and our tummys started to say hello...
We found a little tapas bar, where we ordered Sangria and some of the best tapas i had in a long time. i really really want to learn how to make these. The evening was very funny and by the end we were already a bit tipsy. Because we were also very sleepy we decided to go back to the hotel and skip going out for tonight.
On the way back so we passed this little street with all these little cute bars. In one we stopped to get a Mojito for me and a Caipi for Crystal. Also these drinks were very well made. Crystal made friends with a guy called Viktor. I couldnt understand a world. I cant speak spanish:D
We sat down at some point and took again some pictures and watched the people playing table soccer. Viktor invited us for a BBQ the next day and said there will be other foreigners as well and we should come. We said we would think about it and left. On the way back, we of course took more pictures and goofed around:D Was lots of fun!!
The next day started with a little walk on the ramblas. We found a little coffee shop, which was unfortunately not as good as it looked, and had breakfast. Then we did some shopping. Well one cat did and couldnt decide between all these sunglasses. Haha serious addiction:D she found a whole outfit, glasses, shirt, scarf and bag:) i didnt find anything i really wanted to have. Im still not really in shopping mood hehe..
After a few hours of walking around and checking out the stores, we took a taxi to the beach:D
It was soo beautiful. Not to hot, a bit windy and just nice. We walked a bit in the sand and played with the water before we found this very cute little beach bar called princesa. We ordered already our first drinks for the day, strawberry Caipiroska and Strawberry frozen Magarita. Very yummy. Also we got some baked Nachos.. so good! We took pictures and goofed around for a while..
Then we took another short walk before we started to slowly go home.
We showerd and took a little rest before it was time for dinner. We walked slowly back towards the beach. On the way we took a detour on this little island with the mall on it.. we made pics of ourself and of the big seaguls flying around. Also there was this strange guy recording us>_>
We made a little stop and got icecream:D i had strawberry cheesecake flavour and Crystal decided for greece jogurth with honey.
Then we walked a bit around again. Near the beach we found a cute little Tapas bar where we wanted to have dinner... all the tables were full so the waiter told us to get a drink and wait. We went to the bar where we got to know Daniele the bartender. He mixed us two strawberry caipiroskas and told us to come back for shots later. We then got a table and really yummy tapas as well. Well one plate, the one the waiter recommended us, was really gross.. we are not sure why we got the shot in the end at our table.. either because of Daniele or because the waiter felt sorry for the plate:) anyways it was just us who got it=) it was yummy and sweet=)
Then the table next to each us asked if we want to have their bottle of rose... they would not finish it:D of course we said yes and so two other guys gave us free booze=)
Then the most funniest thing happened:D the table in front of us kinda got our attention because that couple didnt look so happy and he kept playing with his smart phone. Hahaha now the most funniest thing happened which made us so laugh until we cried. They got seafood paella. When the paella arrived, she started to load her plate with ALL the seafood. All the musels all the crabs, all the fishes.. like everything. .. he then just got a bit of rise.. and while he was putting it on his plate, she started to pick the bigger thingies in his rice and loaded it on her plate.. well maybe he was not hungry or doesnt like seafood, but why then she has to load her plate like this hahahaha, it looked like he wasnt allow to have any of the food beside some rice. It cracked us up:D
Later Daniele showed up at our place saying he is leaving now and asked us to come back the next day around 11 pm and we could hang out together.
Crystal and I called it a night and walked slowly back to the beach.. we listened to the street musician, walked in the sand and water, took pictures and of course goofed around.. when we saw this big net construction somethign for kids, we started to climb up and goofed around there. was so fun.. then we walked to Opium but the line was huge around 1 and we didnt want to stand in line for such a long time.. we decided then to cab back home. What a fun night:)
Next morning we slept in:D got ready then and went back to our favorite beach bar, where we got Breakfastburritos.. they are so good. And no we didnt start the day with another cocktail, but with regular coffee:) after that we went to the beach, where we took a nap and played in the waves between all the naked girls.
At some point we went back to our beachbar, where Crystal bought one of these shirts and posed with the waitresses. Haha that was of course after we started with strabwerry caiproska:D we also ordered some nachos and meatballs and olives and just hang out, taking pictures, talking and enjoying the day.. we stopped by at Danieles and told him, we would wait for him at our beach bar.. again:D
The day just flew by and it was time to walk abck to get ready for tonight... we got ready, and went back to our place. It got chilly so we had to order very fast a red wine to warm up and nachos baked with cheese. The salsa and the peppers helped as well to keep as warm.
Daniele and his Cousin soon showed up.. His Cousin could only speak Italian and so we were like all the languages at the table... i picked up a lot of spanish and sometime i could follow the conversations quiet well. I impressed Crystal haha, cause end of the night i was really able to follow different parts of whole converstaion and i dont speak spanish at all you know:D
The Bar closed already and the Cousin was so hungry, even we shared out food with her. Daniele brought us to another bar called Barcelona Foq. This cracked us up too. We had another drink.. Crystal went for kisses in spanish and i took a jack ass mojito:) it was fun:D
Haha Daniele then went out with Crystal to show her his cruly hair.. he was wearing a ponytail so far.. when he came back he had an afro hahahaha was horrible. And he def had a big crush on Crystal btu she wasnt interested and was just playing:). We decided to go home. It was late anyways and we all got sleepy. We said good bye to the guys and walked home hahaha.
One of my favorite scenes was when a guy stopped us and asked me for my name.. i said Maria without even thinking twice.. then he asked crystal and she was like hmm what is my name.. hmmm my name.. Maria, oh no that is you already. Hahahah ait was so funny.
Another very funny moment was the sign on the street.... one of 3 people die in traffic accidents.. haha well i hope they meant 1 death out of 3 is a traffic death.. probably, but it was not that clear.. cracked us up..:D that would be a lot 1 of 3 people would die hiere at the street and like 10 people crossed the street now with us.. means at least 3 of us wouldnt make it hahahahah:D
We went back to the hotel. Took again one of our painkillers and went to sleep=D
The next day our alarm woke us for the first time. we got ready, packed, and left for the airport.. the travel back was more or less quiet.. well on the bus drive we saw a person laying on the street.. >_> probabyl one out of these 3>_> no dont know..we didnt really look ...
Our flight was a bit delay, and at the airport where we looked at our pictures we had to laugh very hard again..
The flight back was very turblant on the landing but oke beside that. We napped most of the time and played some games on the iphones...
We then took the bus back to town and said good bye..
It was a very nice and perfect weekend. I wonder if we will go back any time!!:)
No i just have to upload the pictures. I didnt bring my big camerae because everyone always says things get stolen.. so i didnt want to risk it.. right now i want to turn most of the pics into vintage photos:) also i already prepared one of the pictures i want to put on my wall=)
