Oops, I disappeared for a few days
I unexpectedly didn't have internet access at my recent stay.
I went directly from that place to the apartment of my former next-door neighbors. (They just moved down the road a bit.) They're off to Reno for a few days, but their big ol' marmalade kitty (aka The Most Spoiled Cat In This Sector of the Galaxy) needs his insulin and the pitter-patter of human feet, so that he may have someone to haughtily ignore.
I am tired, but I just wanted to say hey, and to mention that if I were god-king of the primordium, even the most modest shared living units would be adequately insulated for sound reduction. The upstairs neighbor has his or her bathroom fan running, and it sounds like a massive refrigeration truck idling its engine.
Really. How unreasonable could the cost be?
