{ scene } where the sirens scream through every misplaced dream up with the pirate moon

As Doul's arrival is anticipated but Nuala's own tardiness is not, when he does come to Dún Fómhar he is first of all given the Lady's apologies and assurances she'll join him very soon - before he's shown to a receiving room to wait.

Meanwhile, the aforementioned Lady of the Deepmoor extracts herself from her unanticipated guest, pleading a prior commitment. (She is not prepared for such guests, and she is not prepared for Lord Kethaigne, who is not a gentleman, but he allows himself to be shown away with altogether too much amusement; she exhales a deep breath very slowly.)

"Uther Doul," she beams, only slightly harried, as the door is opened for her.
