Vacation!
It's vacation time! We're leaving today, woohoo! We're not leaving until this afternoon, boo :( I would have preferred to leave first thing this morning but the demo team is finally having their celebration lunch today, so we are leaving immediately after lunch. I'm antsy and ready to finish packing the car but I have to wait on Hubby. He had to cut the grass before we could go and he has to shower after, and we can't finish packing his toiletries until after he uses them. Our suitcase is the largest one and it has to go in the car first so everything else can be stacked on top of it, so I'm at a stand still. I'm ready to be ready to GO!
Last weekend was Districts. Hubby won first place for combat sparring! He was SO excited! His match was one of the last ones at the whole tournament, so everyone from our school who competed was able to come watch. All the kids were chanting his name and cheering for him, it was kind of awesome. He also won 3rd place in sparring. Aly is the new district champ in sparring AND combat sparring! She was really excited, she's now met 2 of her goals! She also won 2nd in weapons. Aly will now be competing at Worlds in both events! Brittany won 3rd place in forms, and 2nd in sparring. She did awesome but was disappointed that she didn't win first. She won't be competing at Worlds this summer, which is a bummer. BUT the good news is that she doesn't have to train for Worlds, which is great because she broke her freaking toe last week and can't put any weight on it for at least 2 weeks! Missing 2-4 weeks of training would be awful if she was going to worlds, so there is a bright side! Not often a broken bone is "the bright side" lol.
Parker wants to go to the zoo and see the lions. We had a 15min conversation about how lions are his favorite and they go ROOOOAAAR, but he's a little scared of them, but they are his favorite and they are awesome and he wants to go see them. I said "they might eat you!" and he said "No mom, lions don't eat people, they eat meat!" Umm.. I just left that one alone, lol. He's been telling everyone that we are going to the zoo after we go to Florida, even though I keep telling him that I said MAYBE.
YAY! Dude is finally out of the shower so I can make him finish packing the bag and then we can pack the car. I'm so ready to be done and gone. Please send me Good Kid Car Vibes, because I'd hate to start this vacation by killing them all for being brats ;)
