Granny and Baby Update!
OK first I am going to change what I was about to post! I just heard hubby in the other room saying "No ma'am it was my daughter, she was playing with my phone and dialed you." Hmm,who did she call? He locked his keypad and gave Larkyn his phone. Larkyn dialed 911 and since it's the emergency number, the call went through even with his keypad being locked! Because in a real emergency you might not have time to unlock the keypad i guess? She was gasping and gooing into the phone and he noticed it was calling someone so he hung up fast, but not fast enough. they called back to see what the emergency was and if the gasping child neded help! He's now embarrassed thatthe dumbass cop let his almost 1 yr call 911 on the phone! I told him to be glad it was a cell phone that isn't registered with an address so they can't come visit in person to be sure we're OK, because the people he works with would be the ones coming to check on our 911 hang up! Crazy daddy!
Anyway! My grandmother is BACK in the hospital. What's up with this old woman? Her leg has been swelling really bad so my mom and aunt took her to the doctor today. the doctor did an ultrasound and found a huge blood clot in her leg, up high near where the leg joins the hip. He wants them to consult with a surgeon because he thinks it needs to be removed this time. It's the same leg that has the other clot, but that one was smaller and they put in a filter to keep it from moving. This one is blocking the whole blood vessel apparently. They think she'll just be there over the weekend, but we'll see. Sucks because now she can't do physical therapy AGAIN and she has to get stronger and be able to get into the wheelchair on her own or she can't move into the assisted living place, she'll have to go to a full nursing home. Most of the full nursing homes were kinda smelly and apparently had sad dying looking people in them. Fun fun!
Also I went for my baby appointment today. They did an ultrasound to check his size and he is currently measruing at 7pounds and 6 oz. If he grows at the expected rate he will be 9 1/2 pounds when he is born! We're a little hesitant because the lady who did the ultrasound was the same one who measured Larkyn as being a full pound less than she was! Hopefully she's not that off again :p The doctor wants to do another ultrasound in 3 weeks to check his size again if I am still pregnant, then we'd talk about scheduling to be induced early. Although at that point it would only be less than a week early, so what's the big deal at that point? I just want to make it another 2 weeks at least so we get through Larkyn's party and first birthday! I'm also a little over 1cm dilated and 'very soft'. When you get to 10cm and you're super soft inside, the baby comes out! Hubby thinks I won't make it that long because she said "IF you are still pregnant", and he thinks that is a sign that she doesn't think I will be. I think it's just IF you are pregnant we will do an ultrasound and IF you are not pregnant then there is no point!
