Back Home!
We're home! Interesting ride home. Left graduation around noon. Drove an hour NORTH then stopped for lunch for an hour. Dropped MIL off at her hotel and Janet off at the Metro station. Drove an hour SOUTH to get back to where graduation was. Started (?) our trip home, 3 hours behind schedule because of all that :p 10hour drive ahead of us, yeehaw. Stopped for dinner, eating fast food but somehow STILL adding another hour. About 10pm we decided to stop in Charlotte NC for the night. We still had another 4 hours to go and i was SO tired. We stayed at a VERY nice hotel with the softest hotel bed and sheets I have ever seen. We tried to sleep in this morning, even though I had a phone call before 9am to give me a baby update (??? from the ONE person I had told that we were going to sleep late,lol) Got back on the road at 11am. Stopepd for lunch, got it 'to go' so it would be quick but this took 30 mins! At BURGER KING! LOL. The McDonalds across the street was being remodeled so everyone was crowding Burger King, it's not that great people :p I didn't think we'd ever get home! Finally arrived, emptied the car, switched to our car, got BACK on the road to drive 45mins to pick up the kids. Had to then drive to the ball field to get hubby's bro's key because they forgot to send the kids suitcase to my sister's house with the kids! Went to get bag, then went BACK to the ball field to give them the key back. had to get out for awhile so we could feed Larkyn before getting BACK in the car! Finally arrived home at 6:30 tonight. This adventure started at noon YESTERDAY! Oy! We almost made a detour through TN to go see Alla! But when we used the GPS to see where she was, it was 12 hours away from us when we were 5 hours form home, so we decided not to, doh. Sad, but too much driving on top of too much driving! At least I didn't tell her we were thinking of coming to see her, so she wasn't diappointed. Guess she knows now!
Anyway we're home, not that anyone missed us. Aly wanted to spend the night with my sister instead of coming home, lol. Britt was running around playing and abrely said hello. Larkyn looked at me then started at hubby like he was an alien, lol. Nobody went "Mommy! Daddy! So glad you are home!" Kids suck ;) hehe, everything went fine (mostly) with them while we were gone, more amusing updates to come later!
The BIG news is that Larkyn has her first tooth! We think it came through today, woohoo! Everyone claims they didn't see it yesterday but I don't think they'd tell me if they did. So since we found it tonight, it's going down as being the official first tooth day!
