Cruising the Caribbean, Part VIII

Hooray, another dive day. We went just out beyond the edge of the harbor, which I thought was less than encouraging, for a dive first on a reef, then on a wreck. The reef was nice, but there was a very strong current and a lot of sit in the water. Most probably stirred up by the four docked cruise ships (including ours) and then kept from settling by the tide. The visibility was therefore a bit on the low side. About 30-35'.

Despite the rather uninviting conditions, we saw a lot of fun things. A couple of sharks, an eagle ray (which I unfortunately didn't get a good photograph of :-( It shows up as a faint shadow in one or two shots), a sea turtle, an eel (which I didn't see. Again. :-\ ) and loooots of little fishes. I have to say, the eagle ray was my favourite. Absolutely lovely creature.

Omnomnomnom. I had fruit, lentil soup, and "Evolved" Beef Wellington for dinner, followed by pears cooked in burgundy wine. Yum. And half of mom's dessert that she couldn't finish. Apricot tart with a side of pistachio ice cream on a bed of caramel of some kind.

(Follow the fake cut to the photos)

Also, have a link to a photo of an eagle ray, since I couldn't get a good photo.
