You Are Apple Red

You're never one to take life too seriously, and because of it, you're a ton of fun.
And although you have a great sense of humor, you are never superficial.
Deep and caring, you do like to get to the core of people - to understand them well.
However, any probing you do is light hearted and fun, sometimes causing people to misjudge you.
What Color Red Are You?

Your Power Level is: 78%

You're a very powerful person, and you know that all of your power comes from within.
Keep on doing what you're doing, and you'll reach your goals.
How Powerful Are You?

You Are 33% American

America: You don't love it or want to leave it.
But you wouldn't mind giving it an extreme make over.
On the 4th of July, you'll fly a freak flag instead...
And give Uncle Sam a sucker punch!
How American Are You?

Heh, that was amusing. Now... On to the news of yesterday.

The seminar was one of the driest most boring things I've been to recently. *headdesk* It was an I-don't-feel-like-putting-a-hell-of-a-lot-of-work-into-this presentation of the history of the engineering school, here at Tulane. *eyeroll* Hell, the man even said that the main purpose of a Suhren lecture was to present research... and yet... he chose not to. Wtf, mates? But, yeah... I took enough notes on it to write my one-page-prove-you-went summary, so, what the hell ever. I was finally donw with classes for the week, and happy about that. And so, Friday night got declared my night off, for the weekend.

After the boring-ass lecture was over, Annee, Steph, and I went upstairs to see Nikki's artwork. Which was cool. I really liked it. We stood around and discussed the pieces for a bit, and then I wandered off to anime club, only to run into Murray on the way there, and find out that I had missed the vote for officers, and Dave was now president. I watched an episode and a half of Fumoffu with them, and then dragged Hunter and Dave to Bruff, as I had missed lunch due to lab running later than expected and late brunch making me not-hungry beforehand. The food wasn't that great, and we were eventually joined by Scott and Josh.

This was followed by hang-out time in Dave's room. Hunter went back to his room to print out stuff for the test run he, Dave, Murray and Scott wanted to do of their Exalted characters, and the rest of us just chilled. I got a call from Jade, to wish me an early happy birthday, and at some point later, I forget when exactly, Dave's 'rents called, and he was on the phone with them for a time.

Only then did the test run of Exalted begin. It was rather amusing to watch them at it. *snerk* Ye gods, the stunts.

As things were winding down, Peter called, to ask whether we were indeed chilling at his place, and so, not much later, the party broke up to reconvene at Peter's sans the dice and papers and things. Not too much worth mentioning went down while we were there. It was actually kinda dull. Dave and Peter wandered off for a while towards the beginning to go to the Boot Store, and came back with a six-pack of Abita. Which disappeared while the group of us watched Peter's ... I guess housemates is the term... play PS2!Risk. The game went on, and on... and on... At one point, Caroline showed up, tried to give Feye a hug, got gently rebuffed 'cause Feye was still playing Risk at that point, walked outside to call Randy, and then disappeared. *snort* Practically didn't acknowledge me. It was as though she was doing the whole passive-aggressive thing... I wasn't quite sure what to make of that. I'm still not. But I don't really care just now. Then, once the game had finally ended, people talked outside about Exalted!characters 'cause Peter and Feye wanted in on the campaign.

From there, Dave, Hunter and I wandered back to Dave's room to watch Midori Days. That was a lot more fun that I was expecting it to be.

... Mostly 'cause Dave isn't quite as oblivious as he claims, it seems. But that is a story for later.

And now, I'm currently typing this up to while away the time until breakfast. I'm meeting Hunter and Dave at Bruff in about 20.

hanging out, dave, scott
