And we looked at the "colonial garden" supported by the Pottstown Garden Club. This was less amazing, but given we had snow as recently as last weekend, I am willing to be patient. But the whole "garden" is four two foot square beds of herbs...not impressed.
Our contribution to Earth Day involved avoiding the street fair on our way home...
But on a gardening note, our landscape maintenance laid out TONS of mulch on all the beds this weekend. I am not sure why. I presume it keeps weeds down, but they seem odly enthusiastic in the amount they use...must look into this for future reference. The grass is making up for lost spring--I swear it's grown five inches this week! I'm going to enjoy learning seasonal gardening, I think. All the bulbs are exploding everywhere, and the trees are bursting into every color of blossom--it's stunning. Yesterday was the first really, REALLY warm day since our arrival, and the temps are supposed to hold today and even nudge toward 80 tomorrow, before the rain y'all were playing with shows up here on Tuesday....
