wow! KCET Dropped PBS? Who took over?

I think KOCE is now the primary PBS outlet in Southern California, with KVCR 24 (and perhaps KLCS 58) as secondaries.

KCET decided, I think at the end of 2010, that they could no longer afford the dues (random) that PBS demanded, so they decided to become an independent public TV station. They sold their studio on Sunset to the Scientologists and moved to an office park in Burbank (as I type this in, it seems surreal, but it is what happened). Will they succeed? It is currently unknown. They have a fraction of their past viewers and fraction of the donation income, but significantly lower costs.
