Putting a price on creativity.

I think I figured out why it is so hard for me as an artist to put a price on anything I create. It's because what I create has no monetary value to me, I can't put a price on something I truly value. Kind of like the love for a child, can you sell your child, can you put a price on your child's head? I know I can't! I find the value is in the work I do. It is the pleasure I get from being creative and it is the pleasure I get from making my client's happy (and I just love working with children too!!). To be able to create something beautiful for someone else that they will hold onto for generations, it is just amazing to me. It is also amazing to me that one day when I am gone, I will have left behind thousands of pieces of me scattered everywhere. I also find it rewarding to create something that is truly meaningful for someone else.
