So
this article got me thinking about tablet PCs. I honestly think I would prefer one to my bulky (though I love her dearly) laptop. The problem is how supported is the Tablet in Linux? My laptop is 2+ years old now and I will eventually need to upgrade. For now she works just fine and I really don't have a need for one. But when it does come time to upgrade I would LOVE to go to a tablet. The one mentioned in the article is clearly part of the PDA model. I am looking for more like Kat's Tabby. So that got me looking around. Seems there is a more
active group out there trying to port things over. I also found
this site that shows more. This makes me pretty happy. As I edge closer and closer to a Windows free life (though I imagine my work provided machine will also be a Windows box and I will always have Windows machines in the test lab to beat up on) it is good to know that soon my everyday machines will all be happy Debian boxes full of love and open source sharing.
