I saw this documentary about mothers who raise their children from a maximum security prison. It was more personal and less political. John Grierson wouldn't approve. Art is a hammer, not a mirror, he'd say. Q & A sessions are ususally brutal but this one was full of thoughtful questions. The best being, "Are you worried that a film like this might be misused by right wingers to defend the expansion of prisons?"
