"In The Company of Snowflakes"

Jun 13, 2005 10:02

They bite off part of the sky
and the remains melt into a puddle
still on the dry June gravel. Yes
snow will come raining down and
the slush reminds me of this day in

Summer. This is nothing I suppose
would do me any harm.
I can drink with a piano
and forget her notes.
Drop them into my ears
and fall under a dream
as fangs of reality
come crashing together
and a headache appears as snow falls.

Summer rustles beneath my chin as the piano begins
to take another sip and another season
slowly drips into this scene:
A puddle and his snow flakes
accepting each other
with gentle invitations
warm wine, and dreams.
