Oh wow, those are amazing!

[Here's Hikari, looking over at the pokégear and seeing the drawing of
Togekiss and Piplup.]

How long did it take you to get so good at drawing?

Oh, ...I usually spent most of my time drawing so... I suppose I'm really just used to it?

[Try drawing non-stop for almost two years.]

Ah. You've been doing this all your life then? It really shows. If you had a background in there I could almost mistake the drawings for a photo.

Mm, sort of. It's.. one of the only things I could really do.

I haven't thought about it since these are just for practice. I want to see how well I could do them.

Oh, so this is your first time drawing your pokémon then?

I've tried taking a couple of pictures... but then gave up. Most of mine won't stay still long enough for me to get good pictures.

Mhm. Usually it's people or backgrounds.

Maybe you can find something that will catch their attention and make them stand still?

Well, at least it looks like you're just as good at drawing pokémon!

And that's probably going to be a bit difficult. Six of them are still babies, it's hard to get most of them to focus on anything.

Did you notice if any of them has something they really like? Anything that can catch their attention long enough that they don't move so much?

I'll have to try some things, see if any of that gets a reaction from most of them. At least Charmander's lazy enough to stay still.

What kind are they?

I have an Eevee that likes to fight well... everything. A Charmander, a Chikorita who really likes to hug people and be hugged, a Piplup who's affectionate but also not really that interested in battling, and Pidgey who likes to sit on my shoulder.

I don't really know the Happiny or Diftloom I recently got that well yet though. Maybe those two will stay still a little easier than most of my others.

I know they understand us to some level, even if they can't talk back. Maybe you can try asking them to sit still? When I ask my pokemon to do things, I just talk to them, even when they were newly hatched.

Okay. I'll try that and see how it works too. I guess they might listen for a little bit.

You said you tried taking pictures of them? I bought my friend a camera, but he hasn't tried taking pictures of pokemon yet. Do they seem okay with it?

Well... as okay as most animals seem to be with getting their picture taken, anyway.

While they don't seem to be upset about it, most of the time whenever I have a good shot they wander off or move.
