I didn't even realize I'd missed the Night of Floating Fire until everyone here started talking about it! I never got to do too much of it, the past few years, so I guess that's why ...
I do miss it, though. Lest and I would take a lantern out to the docks, in the poorer part of town ... it was always really crowded there, but he felt so uncomfortable around the nobles on the nice shores. So we'd put out our lanterns with the sailors and the dockmen and we'd watch it sail out to the horizon ...
I miss Atsirian holidays. Nothing else ever really compares, I guess. No matter how much I get used to them.
