I've been watching the Academy Awards tonight (I'm probably a half hour from the end now).
During the performance of one of the nominated songs, "Falling Slowly" from "Once", a young girl performed, the likes of which (as a child singer) I haven't heard since "I Want You Back" from the Jackson Five.
Her name is Jamia Simone Nash and you can see a little bit of her in a scene from the movie here:
