Bits...

I see I haven't posted anything here for over a month. Basically that's because it's been a really quiet few weeks with not much going on. The one memorable bit... though not for a good reason... was tripping over in the back yard, falling flat on my face, and ending up in A&E. Nothing broken but my face was a mess and I was quite shaken up. It caused quite a bit of discomfort in my neck and shoulders (cervical spondilosis flaring up) but it's slowly getting better. 'Slowly'.

Family weekend just gone and lots of fun with grandkids and daughters, partly because there was a local balloon festival - which unfortunately I wasn't well enough to go to - and partly for my husband's birthday which is today. All good fun but am now glad of the upcoming quieter week. The garden is now coming into production and I'll be concentrating on picking beans and peas! And our shallot crop is the best we've ever produced... but will all need peeling. Not so great. :-(

We're off to Scotland in late September for a few days. The land of my fathers... well actually my mother's father but who's counting. *g* My first ever visit and I honestly can't wait. Hopefully will be seeing nakeisha for the first time in what, seven or eight years? Possibly longer... *So* excited!

I've been reading a lot lately. Partly because I hate the World Cup and it's been dominating the TV schedules, but also because drs. orders were to rest... so I did. :-) Here's some of what I've been reading:
