I know I know!!! Exciting! Well done, Lestrade!
I think as Sherlock's review board drew to a close she did realize she'd been wrong about Sherlock, but stood by calling the evidence as she saw it, and that Sherlock would respect that.
I agree with this assessment of Donovan. I mean, she examined the evidence that was there and came to a pretty clever conclusion that everybody else seemed blinded to. At least she had the guts to stand up and say what she thought, and I’m glad she hasn’t been, like, karmically punished for it by the show. In fact, it looks like she and Lestrade got promotions out of it?
Maybe a spin-off? Lestrade, DCI. Heh. Not likely.
Hee, I think in one of the DVD commentaries, Mofftiss said that they loved the idea that when Sherlock is not around, Lestrade could have his own show because he’s just as much of a badass, just not quite as clever/dramatic as Sherlock. But he’s persistent and puts in the work to get the bad guys. Also paternal!Lestrade to Sherlock is one of my favorite things ever. :)
Oh dear god, that's right, there's going to be dancing.
I...legit teared up at this. Because I thought he would dance, you thought he would dance, he wanted to dance...and he doesn’t get to dance (except with Janine). *cries*
SHERLOCK'S MAKING SURE NOTHING HAPPENS TO WRECK JOHN AND MARY'S WEDDING OR UPSET THEM! *flaaaaail* Awwwww.
THIS!!! Awwww is right!
And I had the exact same reaction to Sherlock with a kid! Heeee, *flails*
What an awesome recap!!!

Absolutely! Lestrade overall seems to have a deeper sort of caring to his policing and leadership in general which is very sweet and engaging. Also his sense of humor is grand.

And the dance he got with Janine was just in a back room, teaching her how to waltz. Aww.
