Loved this episode! I don't think I've been this excited by a new season since...probably season 5!
And YES! Dean is RIGHT THERE, arguably one of the two strongest potential angel vessels in existence and NONE of the 'circling' angels try to possess him! (Which, as you say, is kinda sneaky of Ezekiel to get hold of Sam, the other strongest potential vessel!) I would so love to see Angel!Dean some day! But in the meantime...interesting that you mention Michael. I'd really love them to dig him out of Lucifer's cage somehow (preferably with Adam in tow) this season, just so we could see what he'd make of Metatron. If anyone could sort out the Heaven situation, I would think it would be Michael. (Ooh, plot bunny... Michael busts out, makes a deal with Dean to possess him, then goes and sorts out Metatron! Someone should write it! Carver are you listening?!)
Oh and Angel!Chuck! What a brilliant idea!! What if his disappearing act at the end of Swan Song wasn't him being God, but him becoming an angel (thus allowing Kevin to be activated)? That would be awwwwwesome!
