They had Supernatural on the schedule for tonight. I found out at about twenty to nine. I figured it was a mistake because I'd heard it wouldn't be on again until the 3rd, but just in case, I checked the station. There was a little ad for it before the credits of the preceding program, of some twit in a bedsheet-ghost costume going "OooOooo! Supernatural is on next!" So I scramble around finding the tape to jam in the VCR while another "Coming up next, it's Supernatural!" kind of perky announcement-thing happens, and theeeeen....
Garbage. Instead of Supernatural, they air an hour-long special of one of their morning news dorks bitching about what a pain it is to do street interviews, and showing a bunch of clips of stuff taped on the street outside the station. Stuff that sucked too bad to show on the actual morning news program (which is saying rather a lot, really), so they saved it up to barf all over the screen at 9 pm on a frigging Thursday, after saying repeatedly Supernatural was on.
Yeah, I know, it wasn't supposed to be on for anyone else either anyway, but dammit, they said it would be! Out loud! Twice! Less than three minutes before nine pm!
This caps my moderately miserable day like a scoop of toe jam ice cream caps a slice of honey-mustard pie. :-P
