Usually day/month/year yeah, and I even knew that. Just take a deep breath and remember it's all a 'canon-timeline-is-insane' shout-out. Things take as long as they took and happened fall/winterish. *handwave*

Hm. The quote "You can kill a man but you can't kill an idea" is credited to Medgar Evers, an American civil rights activist who was assassinated in the 60's, but the concept probably goes back to Plato and assorted ancient wise persons of note. It's a very old realization, it just gets worded differently in each generation.

Yeah, that Molly and Sherlock scene was a hard one. Both of them, actually.

Oh yes. As I mention in this post in a few spots the timeline of the series is tremendously messed up, and I think it's an ACD call-back, because the timeline of the original stories is so inconsistent, to this day there are still Holmes scholars trying to interpret how it works.
