Apparently we share a brain because you watch the show EXACTLY how I watch the show.

I covered my eyes for the previews this time and didn't even have to peek because my kids told me when it was over. (And yes, girl getting into van, I was really freaked by that. "Awww, she's getting in cause she recognises her gran's van. That's HORRIBLE." And it was.)

ALso, I'm not sure how it happened (I think I saw a bit of the preview last week) but I knew they were doing a fairy tale sort of thing. Maybe I saw the title of the ep somewhere. So as soon as the 3 pigs brothers started arguing I knew what was up with them. And the one guy actually snorted at one point ( ... )

See, that's what's weirding me out. I caught the title, was really hoping for an 'it gets you in your dreams / sleep-deprivation with the boys' episode, had a vague notion something was up with the three guys, totally failed on the three little pigs references til I came at it sideways by way of the werewolf theory, ("Werewolf... oh, three little pigs. That's cute") and had the awesome "Ohhhh!" moment at the old ladies house. I caught it all on the second pass-through though

Omg, old lady with repeated stabbing while girl is screaming? That was weird as hell.

I was trying to think of what her facial expression reminded me of at that scene, and I got it. She kind of looks she's daubing a bingo card and has a nearly filled row.

I was ( ... )

Hi, here from spnnewsletter

PIE IS EVIL!

It so is. Last season, Dean wanted pie and Sam got killed. This season, sweet little old ladies fatten you up with pie and then KILL YOU. Watch out for pie.

Hehe. That's a bit of a shoutout (not from the series I don't think, just me). Have you read kroi-refur's picspam reviews of the episodes and the Ten Expressions she does? If not go forth and read, they're awesome. For the ones for AHBL I and II all through she's got a running thing of "Sam's not dead, he's just fallen on pie" which makes pie even more evil.

Oops. Well, I'll go check it out! I'm still pretty new to the fandom and trying to learn all the injokes and such. Thanks for the rec! ^_^

*grins* Start with kroki-refur's Episode Reviews of Doom and Ten Expressions. She's got them going all the way back to the start, I think, there may still be a few gaps. Lots of screencaps, so be prepared to wait for the page to load fully, they're worth it.

There's also Super-wiki which is doing a pretty good job of compiling a Wiki for the show and can answer a lot of "what the heck does that refer to?" questions, and is spoiler-phobe friendly. Check out the Laundry lists there, in case you are wondering how obsessed this fandom is. The graphs are a thing of beauty... ;-)

That sound you heard? That was the sound of about a thousand fics getting Kripke'd. Or going AU.

I swear, I could hear the sound of a thousand delete keys being hit in unison. Including mine. I never thought I'd have a problem with Supernatural, of all shows, going too fast with the exposition. < g >

Hehe, in season one, I had a problem with their character arcs being resolved too fast, and I wasn't even writing fic back then. Now that I do write it (occasionally) I actually sometimes wish I could put the series on pause for a week or two to let all the meta and fic have a chance to get written before they throw another revelation at us.

Delete? Naw. Call it AU and write it anyway. *nods*

And then the big ow. Sam standing alone in the hospital lobby very pointedly alone and in (if my memory doesn't fail) almost exactly the same stance as in IMToD, only aimed the other direction (facing left side of frame instead of right) and less beat up and more... suit-y. And Dean. OMG ow, Dean. Walking away down a darkening hallway. Ow ow ow ow. And that moment is IMToD all over

Yes! Yes yes yes. That's exactly what I saw, and OH the pain.

Anyone get the sudden vague feeling that Sam is actually technically RED's boss, and that he already has Dean's soul if he steps up to the 'boss of the demons' plate?

No...but that's a really cool idea. Someone on another board suggested maybe it's Lucifer himself, and he wants Dean for some horrible reason we don't know yet.

I figure Dean's got some kind of important thing to do, or be. I still think that what the guy from back in 'Faith' said about Dean having an important job to do that isn't done yet still isn't done, and the RED and demons are all dead set against him doing whatever it is.... *squiggles in anticipation*

I also think the RED gave him a year so he can see the consequences of his deal for 'Sammy the Boy-King'... (Not spoiled. Just theorizing.)

This season's gonna kill me, I just know it.

*Squee!* I love it.

I also think the RED gave him a year so he can see the consequences of his deal for 'Sammy the Boy-King'

That is brilliant, and something I hadn't thought about. They do love to torture that boy. By the end of the season, he might just wonder what he chose to go to hell for. (Which is why I think he settled for Bobby's half-assed "There's nothing wrong with Sam" last week--he doesn't want to know--not only would it make the deal pointless, he would be responsible for unleashing this version of Sam on the world.)

Oh totally. Personally, I think it's going to backfire spectacularly on the demons if this is the case. But not before we get some serious Dean whumpage and torture and angst and stuff. *nods*

Hi, I'm here from the spnnewsletter. I really liked your review. Also, I want to say a huge big Word to this part: Anyone get the sudden vague feeling that Sam is actually technically RED's boss, and that he already has Dean's soul if he steps up to the 'boss of the demons' plate?

I hope there's fic about that.

Also, that Sam/Jess fic you mentioned? I would swear I've read it too. I'm asking at spnstoryfinders on the hopes that somebody has a link.

I hope there's fic about that.

There probably is, somewhere. There's a fic for everything in this fandom. :-D

Also, that Sam/Jess fic you mentioned? I would swear I've read it too.

I know! It's like I can kind of remember the feelings of scenes from it but not the details, which is weird.
