Oh cool, new chapter! \o/ Very interesting, they have the Doctor's journal, don't they? I love the reference back to Nightshifter, with the Cyberman, that little detail gave a thrill. :D Ooo, and an intriguing way to get the two sets of characters to meet up...the Doctor gets there first, relatively...lovely touch with the e-mail addy, very clever. You're doing quite well on the Who side of things. (ooo, I just know Dean would try to hit on Martha. That ought to be fun to watch. :D)

I'm glad the Doctor and Martha are doing okay so far. I've been a Doctor Who fan for years, but never tried to write fanfic for it. TenDoc and Marha are real primadonnas to write for.

In terms of the Dr Who-ness, I think you did really well! I like the little scene ending line "What are you then" that's very who, isn't it? Only bit that seemed a little obviously American was "Dime a dozen," maybe? I'm not sure what you could say instead though, and I almost can see Ten saying it!

I can't believe it didn't occur to me that 'dime a dozen' wouldn't be a common saying in the UK, but of course dimes aren't part of UK currency, are they? Arg. I ran the scene through in my head and it felt like something Ten might say. What would the UK equivalent be, 'ten a penny'?

I agree with you, though, the original line does almost sound like something Ten would say. I think it's because people over here do say quite American things all the time, because of films and stuff, so it's hard to draw a line! So it's not such a mistake *g*
