Wow! What a fun ride. Badass little Boys. Dean and his McGyverisms and protectiveness, Sam and his Ninja turtles and trying to fit in - you did a fantastic job of making them still themselves, but showing shades of differences to reflect the AU. Different paths to a similar point, and it was wonderful. They still felt like Winchesters, and more importantly, they definitely felt like kids, which can be kinda hard. And the Boys still got to save the day!
It was a cool little episode, too. You told everything that needed to get told about the differences and similarities in a neat little package that leaves me curious about other changes, but satisfied with its completeness. It's hard to articulate, but I whole-heartedly approve.
It was so nice to see the Bobby-Dean relationship as being impermeable and constant, even without John on the scene. And I loved the Ninja and McGuyver stuff.
Aw damn, this was good. One, I could literally hear the rings springing out of Sonic, because my kids were very recently playing our old Sega system, so that bit was a treat in sensory immersion. Two, there was a bunch of other things that struck me to comment on while I was reading it, but the "He waved" line just blew them all out of my head because that was just terrifyingly awful. Gave me chills. Graet fic! Good job. :)

And bonus Bobby FTW!

I'm glad the kids were all right, I'm always worried about making kids seem too young or too old.

And Bobby to the rescue!
Loved that he was the one Dean could finally confide in.
And Missouri slipped in there!
Sequel! With Missouri in it! And Bobby investigating Mary and John's deaths! You have to! It's only polite!

Oh thank you! I was kind of thinking that didn't have a whole lot of impact, so thank you for saying it did!
