This episode's recap is brought to you by the awesomeness that is Supernatural Season 5 available on Canadian iTunes, and not by the giant ball of suck that was the station feed for my region that kept glitching out. *shakes fist* As a result, a few less screencaps than last time, but these are logo-free! \o

Oh!!! Good catch!!! I hadn't quite realized that -- but I do believe you're right! OMG!
Despite a few quibbles with the ep on the whole I enjoyed it -- far more than I anticipated, truth told (yes, I watch previews, so I knew about the whole fan-con breaking the fourth wall thing). It felt very much like a love letter to the fans, not just a poke at us, IMO. Miles vary out there, and I respect that, but for me it was fun.
Of course, now I'm ready to get back to business, and considering they just got a new clue to follow regarding the Colt...
Is it next week yet?!?!?!?

When "Monster at the End of the Book" aired, I made myself a list of which titles were published and which weren't. It's been getting more use than I thought it would lately. :-D

Absolutely. *nods*

One bit of the episode that I appreciated, even as it irked me, was the constant echoing of lines (Either the Fan S&D saying something later said by the real deal, or vice versa).
Also: My love for chuck knows no bounds. I'd totally watch a chuck spin off show. He cracks me up. His poor little lovelorn faces whenever Becky was lusting after Sam. Though as soon as she said "I borrowed it from your pants", I knew the pairing was coming. Though I will admit the idea was planted by someone's funny 5x01 follow up chuck/becky fic.
I was somewhat disappointed that sam and dean weren't coerced into (at least halfassedly) playing their roles as rufus and bobby. I wanted to hear Dean do a Bobby impression.
One final little thing, I almost forgot: waaaay up at the top you had some reference to a continuity error/ season 4 reference? What was it? (I must have missed it.)

Well, except there were individual books for a lot of the first season episodes and they were no thinner than the others. He might have done some filing in stuff that happened between one and the other in the later books, but not in any detail. Some of those books have over half a dozen episodes between them.

Under the circumstances, I doubt that would even happen. Dean's patience was already stretched as thin as it would go.
