It would be interesting if that hunt at age 16 had been a werewolf, wouldn't it? And yeah, I can see how that would make Dean do some questioning a la "Bloodlust."

Nicely done, and I especially like this description:

Miserable drizzling rain hissing in the flames. Light and shadow on his Dad's face.

Good job of setting the scene.
