Oh man, you have like every one of my favorite Asian horror movies on here.

FTR ICHI THE KILLER IS... IT'S... I'M NOT EVEN SURE HOW TO DESCRIBE IT. It doesn't actually seem like horror to me, just a really really really fucked up movie.

I WENT FOR ALL THE POPULAR ONES now I'm just clicking around randomly on ones that sound good. :|a

That's what it SEEMS like, kinda like uh. Old boy? The Korean one? Idk, I'm not really into the ones that are like, slashfests or Saw-like. JUST THE COVER I'VE SEEN SQUICKS ME.

I actually used to own it on DVD because it was on sale at an anime con and I'd heard it was like, a staple if you were into Asian horror! So I bought it and watched it and went, "... WELL. That was, uh. Okay, I can definitely cross this one off my list!" And I never watched it again. I kind of feel the same way about Suicide Club-- good to see once, never again. :|b

Suicide Club I would watch only to see if I could understand it more the second time around. I LIKED IT THE FIRST TIME but it was kind of like ". . . :???"

SAME FOR ME although my experience with it was probably stranger than most. I first saw it at an anime con waaaaay back in the day, at a very small local one where they allowed people to camp out in the convention center (which was held at a local university). I, like many people, brought my sleeping bag with me to the con to save on driving and hotel fees. (pretty sure this is illegal now, but it was a while ago before there were any real regulations at cons; I was like 15 at the time ( ... )

And then like a year later I rented it to watch the whole thing beginning-to-end and IT WAS STILL JUST AS MESSED UP

God that's like when I watched Ringu for the first time. I was with a couple of college friends and they're like HEY LET'S WATCH THIS MOVIE :'D and I was like noooo I don't like horror nooooo and I'm pretty sure I watched it from like, the side so I wouldn't have to look directly at it the whole time and we were in a CREEPY BASEMENT and asjdkl;ja it was just super creepy.

And then I rented it and watched it again and it was STILL SUPER CREEPY I'm surprised Sadako hasn't given me nightmares.

That reminds me, I should rewatch Ringu at some point-- I keep meaning to have my sister-in-law (who loves horror movies and has never seen it) watch it with me.

;D

I saw it a while ago, but I remember liking it a lot? It had the same kind of feel as Ringu did.
