can we get clean again?

I know it sounds cliche, but lately I have been getting back to my roots, doing things I haven't done in a while.

Perhaps the best of these things is Rent. On Tuesday I saw the Broadway tour, with Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal. When William bought tickets months ago, I was excited for about a day, texting old friends to gloat. But then I was sort of unimpressed with the whole thing. William was listening to the soundtrack a week or two ago to get revved up, and I left the room because I just didn't care. I wasn't excited until we sat down in our seats at the Keller. That's when the butterflies and the squealing and the hand squeezing started. I was on the verge of tears for most of the show because I was that damn excited! The girl sitting next to me must have thought I was crazed because I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat. It was a fantastic show. I agree with Jesse that the Angel was really awesome, and so was Maureen. Anthony Rapp was incredible, of course. Even though he is one of my least favorites from the original cast, Adam Pascal was really good; he kept getting choked up in act two, which was adorably heartbreaking.

I've also been fooling around on my guitar, listening to mass quantities of nineties music, and reading every day. This summer was ridiculously busy at first, but now that things have calmed down (and I have caught up on Heroes!) I have been doing all those things I forgot I liked doing. I have to report that is it quite delightful!
