twisting the night away

William is working a double today, which means I am left home alone to my own devices. During his three house break between shifts, he came back home and we wondered around Alberta. We went into this groovy local skate shop (that was roughly the size of our kitchenette) since he's thinking of investing in a board instead of a bike this summer. Then we got coffee (me) and pie (him) across the street, and finally headed down to this adorable shop that is often closed when I walk past it. Today it was open, and we so excited to see what was inside!

I originally wanted to go in the store because it had big plastic squirrels in the front window. I wanted to see how much they were so I could get William one. We went into the store and checked out the squirrels ($7.50) next to the front door, and proceeded to find some really cool (and cheap!) stuff! I'm pretty much planning to get everyone's birthday presents there this year because almost everything I looked at I though, "Wow, so-and-so would really like that." So those of you that I normally buy birthday presents for, look forward to some fabulous gifts this year (I realize I have already missed most of your birthdays, so suck it up bitches and deal with presents this summer instead.)

Andrea, you will want to buy most everything in this store, just so you know.

One of the best parts of the store was that it has a small florists shop in the back, so the whole place smelled like fresh flowers. Spring spring spring, how I love thee (except when you hail and snow in April--that is so not cool).

I would like to make a lot of money this summer (and in summers to come) so I can continue with my tattoo plans. Everything is sort of stalled right now because of lack of funds and Molly (my parents said I could do anything I wanted as long as I could still get a job and Molly didn't find out until she was 18 or suddenly matured into less of a teenager). We'll see how everything works out.

One of my friends who is continuously getting new tattoos was bummed out earlier in the year because she had her next one all planned out but no money. Then she got in a minor car accident and got $10,000 out of it. Guess where a decent chunk of that went? Every one was thinking maybe we'd try to do the same thing, but somehow I think not all of us would be so lucky.
