So last week I checked out SIGGRAPH at the LA Convention Center. "Ed, what the hell is SIGGRAPH?" you might be asking. Or, "Ed, why is there a wildfire in my loins?" have you ever been to COMDEX? that's a serious dork/geek fest. i used to work for a tech magazine that always had a booth (and probably still has) at COMDEX.... the magazine used to give out some sort of free CD-Rom with 'valuable' software junk on it...... the year i started working, they didn't make the CD-Roms. People were actually really really disappointed and walked away with frowns on their faces, heads hung low, filled with disappointment that the magazine company had let them down...... and since the magazine is about PCs and generally had a lot of articles about microsoft, the linux and apple lovers would stop by and berate us for whatever reason.....
i'd take E3 or SIGGRAPH over COMDEX anyday......
