I'd like to take a moment to discuss Congresswoman Michelle Bachman.
This woman frightens me. I've been listening to what's been coming out of her mouth since the election, and it just gets worse....
First, her Mccarthyesque outburst claiming that there are members of the legislature that are unamerican....
Then, her denial that she said anything of the sort.
Then... well, I'll forgive her attempt at being black. It probably wasn't her idea.
but... her not knowing the constitutional limits (or lack thereof) of the powers of the legislature...
Her paranoid introduction of a bill to prevent democrats from forcing the government to adopt a multinational currency (that no one in the government wanted to adopt anyway)...
And now, her call to armed insurrection against the lawfully elected government of the United States, justifying it with a quote from one of the founding fathers....
Look, I know she's claimed that she was being metaphorical, but the fact is that she wasn't clear about that when she said it.
So... she needs to take some responsibility here... for every soul that takes her literally, and ends up making some very bad decisions at her recommendation.
Bachman's made some royally wild statements in the past six months... crazy beyond the keen of reason. She needs to learn to watch herself.
The ancient Athenians had a word for people who were incapable of serving in a democratically elected role. That word is 'Idiotes'.
Bachman is doing a wonderful job of demonstrating that it describes her. She's damn near demonstrated that she's too crazy to do the job and needs to be institutionalized.
For her own interest and well being, she needs to stop.
