It's hot in the apartment tonight. It's only 27º (80ºF), but with 51% relative humidity it feels hot.  Cold water makes condensation on the tap, and paper is damp.  It feels like July in Ontario.  Erik is out at a work thing tonight, and it's still half an hour until Isabel's bed time, so we are just hanging out.  She is watching Blue's Clues, leaning her tiny body up against the couch, her feet crossed at the ankles.  I made her a pizza for dinner, just one pizza just for her: a whole wheat Greek pita for the crust, bland and slightly sweet canned pizza sauce, broccoli, and double mozzarella.  I baked it right on the wire rack in the oven, so the crust got crispy and the cheese melted until it turned into a brown delicious-smelling goo.  But she's not going to eat it.  That's not a surprise; she has refused every meal since breakfast.  She'll take half a banana, though.  If she had eaten the entire pizza (which is not fair, since she has never eaten that much in one meal) she would have gotten about 600 calories.  Half a banana is 50 calories.  It's funny because I have two sets of caloric values memorized: mine, so that I can carefully limit what I eat, and hers, so I can try to cram more into her.  I checked today, and at 23.0lbs at 27 months, she is in the 4th percentile.  So she is holding steady.
