So this is what morning is like...

Grrrrrrr....I am going to strangle my mom when we're both at home. I have work at noon today, and I was going to try to sleep in until 10 or so. Instead, my mom had to call here looking for my dad. Normally, I would just ignore the phone, assume someone else would get it, and go back to sleep. My mom has to be difficult and keep calling repeatedly and finally left a message after calling like 6 times! GRRRRRR....lack of sleep...BAAAAAAD....*Looks up at sky* oohhhhh shit...we're going to get hammered...The sky just got reeally dark. This can't be good.

Anyway, I had a good day yesterday. I woke up at around 9:30 or so to take a shower and get ready to begin on my day-long trek to Palatine. Since I was an idiot and I can't drive, I had to resort to public transportation. The bad thing about this is 1) it costs twice as much and 2) it takes twice as long. Oh well, it was worth it. I got downtown to begin my walk across the loop when I saw all of these people with trader jackets on from the Chicago Board of Trade with slices of pizza and thought "I think I'm going to get a slice of pizza and go to Northwestern Station (where I was catching my 2nd train)" but saw a Billy Goat Tavern and said "Ooh....Cheezborger Cheezborger..." and went there instead. That was a great burger. I ate that on my way to Northwestern Station and then called my dad to rub it in. They usually do it to me when they eat somewhere I like a lot, so I thought I'd do the same. I called my mom to check in with her, too (her building is right across the street from Northwestern Station) and kinda half-bitched her out for not telling me there was a Billy Goat by Washington and Wells...grrrr..If I would've known that, I'd be going downtown more often: Get off the train, get a couple of burgers, and get back on the train. Pretty soon, there's going to be a Krispy Kreme there as well, so I just might have to do that once that's open. Anyway, I caught my train to Palatine at 12:30 and was picked up at the train station at 1:30 by Lauren and someone who doesn't want me writing about them in my LJ, so she will remain anonymous (Well kinda...almost everyone who reads this will know who it is). I spent my day with this anonymous person and just hung out with her. It's been a long time since I've seen her, and I have really been missing her. We had a good time just hanging out for a few hours. There were options to do other things, but I just wanted to spend time with her. I had also gone up there with the intentions of asking her out, which I did. She's got me on the ropes right now. She said that she needs some time to think. I don't want to force anything, but I feel miserable about it. It's just the way I am. I always have.Whenever she reads this (which I know she will), I wand her to know that I care about her very deep and want nothing but the best for her. If you're not ready for a long-distance relationship, I understand. It takes a lot of commitment and is really tough on you. I know from personal experience.

I had to go catch a train around 6:15, so we left a little early (I was paranoid about missing my train). I was getting thirsty for a bottle of water, so I went into the Starbucks inside the train station (I've heard it's a shitty Starbucks, so I didn't get any coffee), and I saw a bunch of bottles of root beer and water in the little cooler thingy, so I got a bottle of both. The root beer tasted like shit, but it was worth it to save the bottle. The bottling company's slogan on the bottle was "Best Head" so I kept the bottle. I got on the train and immediately heard these 5 preppy girls babbling on for a few minutes and immediately busted out my CD player and headphones. I wasn't going to listen to that for an hour. *shudders* I would've gone insane.

I got off the train at Northwestern Station and hailed a cab back to LaSalle St. Station. I was able to catch my train home in plenty of time and relax. I got home at around 8:50. After doing all of the travelling I did yesterday, I was glad to be home and be able to relax. I'm glad that I didn't plan on going out to Palatine today. They got hammered with rain overnight, and the train station that I was planning on going to was flooded. The waterline was even with car windows. So much for all of the painting that they did yesterday. lol. Well, I'm gonna go. I am going to make an attempt to relax for a while before I go to work. I'll talk to everyone later when I get off of work.

Much Love,
Adam
