I'm reading a card that our neighbors made our family/my mom because we're moving.. well they bought it and everyone signed it..
It's so fucking sad. I love my neighbors (sometimes) so much. I Love the Cohans.. Mrs Cohan wrote: "We'll miss you all! Kate, you've always been a great friend and neighbor to us, we have lots of good memories. Celebrating the millenium at your house, remember Mark went to bed before midnight. Please know that just because there will be a couple extra feet of asphalt between us, well, you're still our neighbor! Love Always, The Cohan Family"
Mark was my neighbor, he was one of my dad's best friends. He died of a brain anuerism (sp?) they think.. two or three years ago. He was like my uncle and I was really crushed when he died.. and when I read that it was one of those bittersweet tear things because he was so quirky like that.. what grown man would go to bed before midnight on the millenium at a neighborhood party?? I miss him a lot.. my family realized after (of course, its always after/too late) how much we relied and were influenced by him. Every time i see a red jeep cherokee I think of him.. and there have been so many times when my mom and I have said to eachother "If Mark were around...(fill in the blank)" because he just was such a great neighbor and person and friend. When we first moved into the neighborhood I was 6 or 7 and he made me a birdfeeder to put in the back yard, because we live in the woods. He was just a great guy lol remembering that New Years is crazy.
Haha.. Kristen's best friend April Dupee lives down the street.. Mrs Dupee's new husbands name is Lou (not really new theyve been married 2 years or so) and he wrote "I'll miss you kate. You can visit Kristen, Moses and Gerry in our shed any time. Love, Lou"
I laughed. It's so true lol. THe joke being that KRisten Moses and Jerry are there more then they are here (in the shed i guess?)
