Weekend & things

The Beck concert was superb! Probably definitly one of my favorite concerts....and yes i understand what that means. The opening band was okay, nothing too special though. But one of the coolest things was that because the concert management was not stable and the concert hall and the crowd were the way they were, Jeremy and I were able to move next to Sarah and Sam who had way better seats than us and enjoy the show with them as well as closer to the stage! It was amazing to see those songs played live and for an artist to really give more than what you payed for like they cared what you got out of the performance. Loved it! and thanks Jeremy for the gift! It was also extremely cool because he only had two or so more concert dates after the performance we saw and because he had been on tour for a while he was branching out with more fun and playfull techniques. Awesomness...oh and I am really looking forward to the newish album coming out in December!

The rest of the weekend was nice as well...no dressing up this year for Halloween but hopefully that will definitly happen next year. No complaints though, still had/having lots of fun.

Hope everyone has a good Halloween!

~on a different note~
On a completely 360 side note, the article in the paper about the "suicide" was still as disgusting as ever. The article barely mentioned him and went on to talk about U of A and the rest of the recent suicides and stats. What about him? maybe the police havnt released a final statement yet, but jeez you can at least give a small amount of courtesy to his friends and family. Hes just another statistic apparently...I found out today that a girl in my math class was good friends with him so we talked for a while...as much as you can during a math class I guess. I can't really talk much more about this right now, but it's just really disapointing. I am trying to figure out why he hasn't gottn anything...I can understand how people don't want to give someone respect who commited suicide...or at least i am trying to understand....but either way he was a human being and those people just need to think about if he was their brother or friend. Oh well, I wish I wasn't so apathetic about any change because I would write a letter or something, but any type of attention like that would probably just make this worse.

oh well....another thing also happened recently with a friend...that further emphasized the importance of not judging people because i know if it got out there so many people would be quick to judge. And this time its even hard for me to not but I think its also helped me learn I guess. I think so many people need to realize the importance of not judging people and keep an open mind...oh well enough rambling on about stuff i shouldnt be...

Here's to gettin closer to the weekend and the the three day weekend! ; )
