currently sporting a grey cotton pencil skirt while watching a pixar flick on our NEW couch; and it feels sexy.
Aaron and i met with nancilee, a local jewelry artist who features her work at my salon. she worked with aaron in designing my engagement ring and is now working with our wedding bands. i wanted our rings
to be special, handmade with natural beauties and leftover heirloom gems.
his grandmother is a valentine baby; the family will congregate to her home
in navy point, pensacola on valentines day to celebrate another wonderful year of her incredible life and her awesomeness. in her neighborhood is a running path that outlines
the bay and bridge to the navy base, with wooden benches placed along the running path to enjoy the view. one bench in particular is across the street to aaron's grandma's (edna) house; it was recently refurbished and dedicated to gma edna and her late husbie, Felix. gma will be sitting at the bench along the bay to watch us get married on February 15. totes getting in the wedding/bride mode finally, but i am ALL OVER THE PLACE. i've gone from asking my sisters to try an embellished, metallic/textured, boat neck cocktail dress with possible dark tights-- to 60s full length embellished/butstillcasual gown with a metallic/crystal belt. think lana del ray. these are current issues to detail. i didnt want hollie and brit to be matchymatch. i wanted them to wear something with similar features (like two separate metallic/embellished dresses but in the same length), but something that will be worn outside of the wedding, if they wanted to. realistically, would you want to wear the dress for your sister's wedding again? and i need shoes by tuesday.
for the record, typing this out is helping me remember my schedule for the remainder of the week (i can spare you the month), plus it keeps me in the high spirits with the somewhat ridiculous necessities that go on with this dedicative celebration.
tomorrow:
10a. get hair products for a client.
10:30. ingredients for friday's potluck.
11a. meet with my guhfrien' to discuss wedding invitations & have coffee in there, too.
2-cl. work
9pm. make cookies for cookie sammiches.
friday!
9am. make casserole!/ finish sammiches!
11-4. work!
4:30. shoes.
saturday/off day!
9am-2pm. clients.
2-sunday. week2 of sister's 30th birthday celebration. think sleepover with several thirty year olds (booze, painting party, dancedance).
sunday.
meet with morms to discuss invitations, party stuff; need to get dress for my fitting and alterations.
what is gma edna going to wear ?
will nieces and nephews be needed? i think not.
what is aaron's mom going to wear?
what should i get for my sisters and future inlaws? i ADORE them all. and want this wedding to be a celebration of them... just in my taste.
need to meet with uwf.
