VEGAS!
"Zumanity" was exactly like Goddess, it was shocking. The heavy guitar rifts, the over-done vocals ("Should we walk into the wind?") The wooden sexuality... the obviously gay men dancing with women who may or may not have given a shit... Sensual style changes set to musical changes...
I kept thinking, 'What I'm seeing, at least it's honest. I wanted to see tits and ass, and here they STILL SHOW me tits and ass.' Also, "THRUST IT! COME ON, THRUST IT! THRUST IT!" "Yes. Shit! Yeah! NOMI!!"
Obviously, the performers were very skilled DANCERS, NOT STRIPPERS. There was a Zaftig lady ('Henrietta, Queen of Bazoos?') who worked as a foil for the rest of the show--pretending to be shocked while being super baudy...
A couple of the performers singled me out, and placed a Blue Dildo next to my face. When I didn't flinch, they quipped, "He's clearly done this before!" The man then challenged me to a Swordfight; I took the classic pose and lunged a bit with a dildo supplied to me by his second. Then we engaged in the frat-sword fight, whereupon he said "Luke, I am your father. Who's your Daddy?" I've decided I'm going to steal that one.
The stupid human tricks were amazing; the acrobats and contortionists were very good at their job. But when I saw the topless dancers, all I could think of were old Wilde House dancers who were at least as good, and at least as topless. Same with the Mens with the huge bulges dancing about; all I could think of were ex-Wildebeasts. The final scene was an orgy, and all I could think of were ex-Wildebeasts.
Other amazing things of Vegas:
Spinning glowing shoe promised amazing things, and delivered.
Neonopolis was a museum of sorts, full of old neon signs. I thought of Miguel, and how much he needed to see this run down trashpile.
A girl took off her top on a screen, and a text box saying "INDEED!" covered her chest.
A giant screen over a mall that would sometimes blow up in fire, like the end of the world.
Blue Diamond (Phillips) drive.
But since the Strip is o.k., and not necessarily what I want to do, I got some people to go hiking through the mountains around Vegas. If you've never been, they're amazing. Desert, rock and stone, hedge plants, wind... for stretches, there's no-one. I'd love to take a longer trail and go farther afield.
k, off to bed.
